Darren Boruff is well known for his work to build and improve East Dallas parks. He co-founded the public private partnership “Dallas Parks Project,” was a member on the Dallas Parks Board and and co-chaired the 2011 White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration. Darren led the effort to build the new baseball fields at Winfrey Point that increased local youth baseball participation by 300 percent.

He spearheaded the lighting plan to keep White Rock Lake safe while maintaining international dark sky standards. He works with local police and neighborhood leaders to expand the Volunteers In Patrol (VIP) program which helps reduce crime. As our new councilman, Darren will continue his work to protect neighborhoods and keep us safe.
